Branch Manager

Samios Plumbing Supplies is a proudly Australian family owned and operated plumbing wholesaler. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Branch Manager to take charge of this full time role currently available at our Samios Cairns branch. This is an exciting long term career opportunity to work with a team of friendly, dedicated and experienced people in a business that is experiencing rapid growth. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be given the autonomy to succeed in an environment that encourages personal and professional growth.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Experience in a managerial position is essential.
  • Plumbing wholesale industry experience is essential.
  • Capable of managing business growth and profitability.
  • Strong plumbing trade background.
  • Results orientated sales experience.
  • Strong customer service technique.
  • Account management experience.
  • Strong leadership ability.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Current Australian manual drivers licence.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Taking ownership of your branch, making it your own whilst ensuring that your business reflects the Samios core values and their high level of professionalism.
  • Ensuring that customers receive a high level of service throughout all interactions with your branch.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, staff, suppliers, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Managing inventory and credit control.
  • Reading and understanding branch financials, using this information to make effective business decisions.
  • Leading and developing your team, which includes undertaking employee recruitment and implementing staff retention strategies.
